Our Favorite Celebrity Cat Dads

Our Favorite Celebrity Cat Dads

In honour of Father’s Day just around the corner, here are our favorite celebrity cat dads.

1. Ian Somerhalder

The “Vampire Diaries” star is dad to orange tabby Moke and president of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, an environmental nonprofit that is currently collecting donations for an animal sanctuary.

2. James Franco

Actor James Franco has two cats, Sammy and Zelda, allegedly named after literary figures Sammy Glick and Zelda Fitzgerald.

3. Dave Franco

We don’t know much about James and Dave Franco’s parents, but they must have done something right, because it turns out that both brothers are major cat men. Dave and his wife, actress Alison Brie, have two cats, Harry and Arturo.

4. Jackson Galaxy

Of course, there’s no way we could make a list of cat dads without including Jackson Galaxy, professional cat behaviourist and host of Animal Planet’s “My Cat From Hell.” With this extensive knowledge of kitties, he’s basically the ultimate cat dad.

5. Macklemore

That’s right: rappers can love cats, too. When he isn’t rapping about thrift stores, Macklemore maintains an Instagram account for his kitty, @cairothecat, which has amassed almost 80k followers.

6. Howard Stern

Not only is Howard cat dad to three kitties, but he and his wife Beth also foster a steady revolving door of kittens.

7. Ricky Gervais

The English comedian loves his Siamese, Ollie, so much that he created a Twitter account for her. He also seems to gush about her a lot in interviews. We don’t at all blame him.

8. CeeLo Green

The “Voice” judge has a white Persian, Purrfect the Cat, which sometimes accompanies him on the panel. No one looks more badass with a fluffy cat on their lap than CeeLo.

9. Russell Brand

Comedian and actor Russell Brand is dad to two cats, Morrissey and Jericho.

10. Ed Sheeran

In 2014, singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran tweeted that he had rescued a kitten and named him Graham. It seems that he and cat lover Taylor Swift are friends for a good reason!
